Welcome to Alper Fur & Shearling!
Owner, Mickey Alper, is a 3rd generation furrier from the Chicagoland area. Alper Fur & Shearling not only sells fur coats, jackets, and accessories, but the business provides a variety of services to care for and maintain furs, like cleaning, repairs, and climate-controlled, cold storage. We offer remodeling and restyling of existing fur, leather, and shearling garments as well as providing custom construction of new garments. All work is done in the store by our own craftspeople.
Shearling and leather are cleaned by hand, using gentle products and specialized techniques that keep your items soft and supple. We do not dry clean or soak items in harsh chemicals that shrink, fade, and stiffen delicate clothing and accessories. Furs are cleaned using natural, traditional techniques, keeping them soft, lustrous, and looking their best.

Mickey stocks fur, shearling, and leather coats, jackets, clothing, and accessories for men and women. Mittens, gloves, scarves, shawls, stoles, and capes. There are down coats and other types of outerwear as well as home decor items like pillows and blankets.
